Have vintage goods, collectibles, craft supplies, small estate items, or resale-friendly treasures you’d like to sell?
Jade Rooster Auctions considers select local consignments for our online auctions. We are especially interested in items that fit our buyer base, including vintage home goods, collectibles, sewing and craft supplies, décor, small antiques, useful household lots, and interesting estate finds.
Because our auctions are curated, not every item will be the right fit — but if you have something you think our bidders would enjoy, we’d be happy to take a look.
Text preferred. Please include photos and a brief description of the items.
Text Photos First
The first step is simple: please text photos before scheduling a dropoff or in-person meeting.
Photos help us decide whether your items may be a good fit for an upcoming auction. If the items look like a possible fit, we’ll schedule an appointment to review them in person.
Final acceptance is made in person after we can see the items, condition, cleanliness, and overall auction potential.
Please do not drop items off without an appointment.
How the Consignment Process Works
- Text photos of the items you’d like to consign.
Clear photos of individual items, groups, boxes, labels, marks, condition issues, and any brand names are helpful. - We review the photos.
We’ll let you know whether the items look like a possible fit for an upcoming Jade Rooster Auctions sale. - We schedule an in-person appointment.
If the items seem like a good match, we’ll meet by appointment to review them together. - Accepted items are prepared for auction.
Jade Rooster Auctions determines how items are grouped, photographed, described, and placed in an auction. - Items sell through our online auction.
Most lots start at $5 with no reserve and sell to the highest bidder. - Consignors are paid after the auction closes and buyer payments are complete.
Auction Lot Value
Each consigned auction lot should have an estimated auction value of at least $40, with $50 or more preferred.
Smaller items may be grouped together into themed lots when that makes more sense for auction. For example, a single small kitchen item may not be strong enough on its own, but a group of vintage kitchen pieces may make a great lot.
Jade Rooster Auctions decides whether items will be sold individually or grouped together.
Low Starting Bids & No Reserves
Jade Rooster Auctions generally uses low opening bids and no reserves.
Most accepted lots start at $5 and sell to the highest bidder. This helps encourage bidder interest and keeps our auctions fun, active, and accessible.
Consignors should be comfortable with the auction process before consigning. Auction results can vary, and we do not guarantee a specific selling price.
What We’re Looking For
We are especially interested in:
- vintage home goods
- collectibles
- small estate items
- sewing, craft, and needlework supplies
- vintage décor
- useful household lots
- holiday items
- kitchenware with resale appeal
- small antiques
- ephemera, advertising, books, or paper goods
- jewelry and accessories
- reseller-friendly lots
- unusual, interesting, or hard-to-find items
Items Should Be Clean and Ready to Sell
Please make sure items are clean, dry, odor-free, and ready for auction.
We generally cannot accept items that require extensive cleaning, repair, sorting, or odor removal.
If you know anything helpful about an item, please share it. Maker, age, history, model number, original owner, where it came from, or any special details can help bidders feel more confident.
Items We Usually Do Not Accept
We generally do not accept:
- smoky, musty, moldy, stained, or heavily soiled items
- items with pet urine, mildew, food residue, or strong odors
- broken appliances, electronics, or tools unless antique or collectible
- most large furniture unless approved in advance
- common modern clothing, unless vintage, designer, costume, or specialty
- most stuffed animals or common dolls
- mismatched everyday glasses, mugs, or low-value kitchenware
- damaged items with little resale appeal
- items better suited for donation, yard sale, or disposal
- large unsorted boxes of miscellaneous items
There are always exceptions. Some imperfect items may still be desirable if they are rare, collectible, antique, or unusual. When in doubt, please text photos first.
Timing
Accepted consignments may not appear in the very next auction.
We may be working one or more auctions ahead, and some items do better when saved for a themed sale or grouped with similar pieces. Depending on our schedule, accepted items may take several weeks to appear in an auction.
Commission
Jade Rooster Auctions receives a commission from each sold lot.
Commission details will be discussed before items are accepted for consignment.
Important Note
Because our auctions are curated, we may decline items that are not the right fit for our current buyers, even if those items still have value.
Our goal is to create auctions that are interesting, organized, and enjoyable for bidders while giving accepted consignments the best chance we can.
